Dale Jnr Makes His Pinball Game Debut
Today, auto racing is one of, if not the, most popular sports in the United States, and the NASCAR events are some of the most popular sporting events. In the NASCAR circuit One of the most popular racecar drivers in the world is Dale Earnhardt Jr., the son of racing legend Dale Earnhardt. Junior drives car #88, an AMP Energy/National Guard Chevrolet Impala SS in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series for Hendrick Motorsports, as well as for his own team, JR Motorsports, in the Nationwide Series on a part-time basis.
Considering the fact that Earnhardt Jr. and racing are so incredibly popular all over the world, it's no small wonder that Stern Pinball, Incorporated, the world's only manufacturer of coin-operated pinball machines, would create an exciting racing game named for the famous racer. The Dale Jr. pinball machine is a limited edition machine, with only 600 units produced.
The Excitement of Racing Meets The Fast-Paced Action of Pinball
The Dale Jr. pinball machine, which is chrome-trimmed, was designed by the legendary Pat Lawlor and the dedicated team at Pat Lawlor Design, and the backglass artwork, created by John Youssi and Pinball Hall of Famer Kevin O'Connor, includes a portrait of the driver, along with images of the car and track. There are actually two different backglasses, an adult version with Budweiser markings, and one without for younger players.
One of the really cool things about this particular pinball machine is the race track that goes around the entire playfield. There are magnets in the track's loop that whip the balls around the track just like a real race car, and there is even a truck hauler that players can launch balls through. How cool is that!
Dale Jr.'s Career
Dale Jr.'s first racecar was a 1979 Monte Carlo he owned together with his half-brother Kerry. He began racing when he was just 17 years old, in the Street Stock division at Concord NC Motorpark. He had been racing for just under two seasons when he began driving in the Late Model Stock Car division. Today, Dale Jr. is one of the most popular figures in NASCAR, having won races too numerous to mention. Some of the races won by Dale Jr. include:
- Daytona 500 - 2004
- USG Sheetrock 400 at Chicagoland Speedway - 205
- Crown Royal 400 at Richmond International Speedway - 2006
- Lifelock 400 at Michigan International Speedway - 2008
Features of the Dale Jr. Pinball Machine

This game has all of the bells and whistles players have come to expect from Stern pinball machines, while providing hours of entertainment for the NASCAR fans and pinball enthusiasts.
This is a pinball machine that is extremely popular, and is destined to become yet another collectible arcade game from the leader in pinball technology, Stern.
